George Frantz

George R. Frantz, AICP is a land use and environmental planner with 25 years of experience in Pennsylvania and New York, in both the public and private sectors.  Over the past two decades he has worked extensively in the field of agricultural land protection in New York, including developing some of the first agriculture and farmland protection plans, purchase of development rights programs, and innovative zoning techniques to protect agricultural lands in New York.  He has spoken on the topics of agricultural lands protection at the state and national level.  He holds a teaching appointment as Visiting Lecturer in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University and is principal of George R. Frantz and Associates in Ithaca, New York.

He has a BS degree in landscape architecture and masters degree in regional planning, both from Cornell University.
